~Siesta Key Beach House Update~

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

We finally have a pool! It took a really long time, but in this after Covid world, I am thankful it is done. It came out even better then I had envisioned.

We went with a smaller pool since we have the #1 beach in all of America less than a mile from us. They are calling this type of pool a cocktail size pool since it is perfect to have your friends and family hang around in and drink cocktails. It is not deep and you can stand up anywhere in the pool.

I still need to come up with an idea to hide the pool equipment. I was thinking a horizontal-line, light (almost bleached) wood fence with a little bench build-out. I am still pondering this. It needs to be small in order to not hide the beautiful lagoon.

The pool has a fountain that you can make low or high, with a sun shelf and a bench with heated jets on your back. It really is the perfect designed pool. The pool deck is shell color travatine tile and stays really cool in the Florida sun.

We finished the yard off with astroturf since we are only here periodically and the astroturf is no maintenance. The astroturf is beyond amazing. It is incredible the way it picks up the shadows from the palm trees.

I had to add this picture of the astroturf with my pretty shed that my friend Will built!

I will keep you updated on my Siesta Key beach house progress. My next project is a complete master bath redo. Can't wait to start!

Also had to add a picture of the gorgeous Siesta Key sunset!

XOXO
